The teen years can be some of our most difficult – especially to grow and maintain faith in Christ. Teenagers face many unique challenges to their faith and we believe one of the best ways they can be encouraged through these situations is to have a strong support network of other teens who love Jesus and loving adults to encourage them.
Teens at Cornerstone can be involved in these ministries:
Sunday School
Regularly spending time learning to know and love God’s Word is a vital part of a growing faith in Christ.
Each Sunday morning at 9:30am our Teen/Young Adult Sunday School class spends time digging into the Bible and discussing how they can apply what they read in their lives.
Our Teen/Young Adult Sunday School class has a laid back atmosphere while tackling some very relevant topics for today’s teens.
Special Events
In addition to our regularly scheduled programs we also try to do some fun events each year with the teens.
Each February we take a group to the PCTC conference in Harrisburg where the kids get to worship with thousands of other teenagers and hear sermons from some of the best speakers in the country. Plus, let’s face it – they have a BLAST all weekend long!
We also encourage the kids to attend Tri-State Camp – both in the summer and at various retreats throughout the year.
During the summer months when our regular Wednesday night youth group is on hiatus we get together each week to do fun activities, such as: going to movies, playing putt putt or taking hikes in the woods.
